Dr. Kevin Drygas and Dr. Mark Walker are expanding Capital Veterinary Specialists and their practice philosophy into North East Florida. We have purchased a 2 acre property with a 13,000 square foot facility equipped with a state of the art UNDERWATER TREAD MILL, an indoor, solar-heated, and humidity-controlled SWIMMING POOL, and a spacious surgical recovery facility. 3. We are excited to announce that we now have access to off-site MRI capabilities! MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to visualize internal structures of the body in detail. MRI makes use of the property of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to image nuclei of atoms inside the body. MRI can create more detailed images of the human body than possible with X-rays. (Source: Wikipedia) MRI images are highly sensitive, noninvasive, state-of-the-art, and are the “gold standard” in human medicine. We strive to employ the most advanced techniques and procedures in order to continue to provide the best care to your pets and we are delighted to add MRI capabilities to our toolbox. Check out our Advanced Imaging page for some sample images!
